Coronavirus - "A Curse For Mankind"

Coronavirus - "A Curse For Mankind"

Someone well said that - " HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF". In the case of coronavirus we can say it without any doubt. Coronavirus was identified on 31st December 2019 in Wuhan district of China. At the initial stage of this virus people didn't take any safety measures because it's symptoms were quite similar to viral fever i.e fever, cough, cold, bodypain etc. But as the time passed it became forest fire. Because of its chain transmission it was spread across china, not only in China but in other corner of the world too like- India, America, Italy, England, Russia and many more.

Lockdown and qurantine is one of the best step in stopping it's chain transmission. After a worst hit in China how we were left? In India the first case was identified in the month of January and it start replicating. After seeing the adverse effect of this virus across the globe, our government decided to impose a nationwide complete lockdown for 21 days and it extended further. Coin has two faces just like that lockdown had also two faces i.e. positive and negative one which we will discuss later. At the initial segment of lockdown people especially middle class and lower middle class suffered with huge difficulties.

Negative impact of this lockdown

Due to this lockdown our whole system collapsed either we are talking about transportation, education or anything. In India, there are about 60-70% of people are migrants. They migrates in search of job. Because of complete breakdown of transportation they were unable to came back to our residence. So, they were gathered wherever they got some resources. This same thing happened with students also. Noone was allowed to move freely on streets or highways except emergency services like medical personnel or police staff. In the month of October national government released our status report of net GDP ( GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT) which was in negative i.e -23. It meant that our whole economic system was collapsed about millions of workers were dismissed from their jobs. The value of Indian currency touched it's higher value ever.

Now some positive impact of this lockdown

Carbon emissions or we can say that air pollution is the biggest problem of this growing era. But Corona or lockdown play a vital role in reducing its level. If we talking about the heart of India i.e Delhi then the Air Quality Index (AQI) was at lowest point i.e (100-120 ) ppm which was good enough for Delhi people. It also reduced the world pollution level too either in every section. And the biggest hole in ozone which is present in Northern ice caps also reduced then previous. If we say it's positive impact in one word then we can say that our ecosystem took a new birth. Due to advancement in tech field our connection or conductivity with our loved ones is decreasing and lockdown acted as a bridge which connected us again and many people spent quality time with their family. Most amazing thing that many of us learnt some new skills like mopping, cooking and many more.

Last but not the least this virus changed the lifestyle of human beings completely. And the respect towards medical personnel or police staff reached at another level. So, I conclude that this virus is not over till now we should respect and follow the guidelines of government.

Thank you.....
