                         Electronic Keyboard

A Keyboard is an electronic musical instrument with keys arranged as on piano. It is also called digital keyboards have switches under each key. Depressing a key connects a circuit, which triggers tone generation.

The major component of a typical modern electronic Keyboard are:- Musical Keyboard: The white and black piano-style keys which the player presses, thus connecting the switches, which triggers the electronic note or other sound.


User interface software: A program (usually embedded in a computer chip) which handles user interaction with control keys and menus, which allows the user to select and other features.

Computerized musical arranger: A software program which produces rhythm and chords by the means of computerized commands, typically MIDI (a widely used standard for interconnecting electronic musical instruments and computer).

Sound generator/sound chip: An electronic sound module or a musical synthesizer typically contained within an integrated circuit or chip, which is capable of accepting MIDI commands and producing sounds.


Amplifyer and speaker: a low to middle-powered audio amplifier and speakers that amplify the sounds so that the listener can hear them.
